"Land of Dreams. On emigration and return" (2005)
Four family legends, four unknown fates under the common denominator of "migration": Using genealogical research and information about particular emigration countries - Africa, America, Argentina and France - and emigration theories, student Andrea Buchschacher was able to use literary means to reanimate the history of her ancestors, a story long gathering dust. She wrote fictional but historically accurate stories.
With her contribution Andrea won a first prize in the 2003-2005 EUSTORY National History Competition of the Association of Swiss History Teachers, whose theme was: "Migration." Her work is based on recollections of family members and on family documents.
