Round Table Discussions in the Ukraine
On 19 October, 2012, teachers and pupils from different regions of the Ukraine met in Kiev to discuss "Human Rights: Lessons From the History of the Twentieth Century". It was the second of three round table discussions which Nova Doba organised within the framework of EUSTORY.
Questions for discussion were:
- Totalitarianism as a political regime in history: was there a territory for human freedom under total political control?
- Does the society need historical heroes? Which heroes unite and which separate contemporary Ukrainian society?
