May 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. On the occasion of this upcoming anniversary, Körber-Stiftung has now launched the digital commemoration project "Europe 1945-2020: Looking back, thinking forward" with young Europeans from the EUSTORY Network.

A group of 25 young people (aged 16-25) from about 20 countries in Europe and beyond will work together for seven months - online in a virtual classroom on the EUSTORY History Campus platform and offline in a weeklong workshop in Warsaw in March 2020.

Under the guidance of educators, participants will critically examine existing cultures of remembrance in various countries, develop their own ideas for contents and formats of future remembrance, and research fractured biographies in their local communities and families.

The project results will be documented using digital storytelling methods in a multimedia presentation which will be shown to the public for the first time at the Körber History Forum in April 2020.

More information about the project can be found on the pages of the EUSTORY History Campus.
